Civil Engineering
Civil engineers perform a wide variety of tasks. They sometimes plan, or design structures or facilities such as roads, railroads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, power plants, water and sewage systems and waste disposal unites. They are often called upon to give technical advice, or prepare public reports, such as bid proposals. Civil engineering requires a strong math and physics background.
If you enjoy working in a more practical and hands on field, consider civil engineering. Many of the occupations require working outside, and do not involve a lot of paperwork or working closely with others.
