Designers make up another large group of visual artists. They may specialize in such areas as industrial equipment, automobiles; clothing, furniture, fabrics, upholstery, and rugs. Interiors designers design aspects of homes, restaurants, retail stores, office space and buildings.
If you are concerned that this major will not be marketable when you find a job, consider minoring in a career oriented field, such as economics or accounting.
