Bachelors Degrees
A bachelors degree is a traditional way people think of college. It is a four year degree, usually requiring at least 120 credits to graduate. The core classes usually involve the basics, such as English, Math, Science, and elective credits - varying by college. Students will be asked to declare a major, usually within the first two years of college. Their major will cover at least 30-45 credits of their bachelors degree. The education is meant to give students a broad background to continue onto graduate studies or to work.

Many of the occupations that are expected to have the most openings for college graduates are in the field of business, computers, engineering, education, counseling, and healthcare. There are fields where the outlook for hiring is shrinking, so getting a degree in those fields may not help with employment in certain areas of the USA.
Admissions:
A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. Many colleges and universities require standardize exams such as the SAT, ACT or SAT II, please check with your individual college. Superior grades, experience, and essays may also be required if you college has competitive admission standards.
