Quality of Distance Learning
Many people have the preconceived notion that the brand name of a college is more important then the education itself. This notion probably started from the colleges themselves in order to attract more competitive students. If you are worried that your online degree is not as good as a traditional college, think again.
"According to Feedback Research, most online adults who have looked into online education feel it is just as good or better than traditional, face-to-face learning. The survey was conducted in April and May 2005 among almost 500 US adults who had visited distance education Web sites. Solid majorities felt that online education was at least equal to traditional schools, with 67% saying the overall quality of the education was equal, and 68% feeling the quality of the degree is just as good." Many of the professors that teach at traditional schools, also teach online. In the end, what you make of your education is entirely up to you. If you work hard and put in effort into your education, your success you will be your own. It will not be attributed to the name of an institution.
"Apply yourself. Get all the education you can, but then, by God, do something. Don't just stand there, make it happen." - Lee Lacocca
