Attending College Full Time or Part Time
If you decide to get an online degree, most likely you will be attending a part time program, since most people work full time, while earning their online degrees. Part time usually takes longer, but as distinct advantages. You have more time to do other things, like spending time with family, or working. Part time students also can concentrate more on their courses, since there are just fewer of them.
A full time student will finish much quicker then a part time student, especially if you add summer classes to your schedule. The good news is, this choice is not written in stone. If you decide that one choice is better then your current choice, the following semester you can change your enrollment status with the registrar's office at your college/university.
Part times students often find that it is difficult for them to graduate, because they slowly lose their motivation over time. If this happens to you, remember your initial reason for going back to school, and consider enrolling full time for a semester, to get back on track.
"The things taught in schools and colleges are not an education, but the means to an education". - Ralph Waldo Emerson
