Employer Tuition Reimbursement
Employers know that retaining good people means challenging and promoting them; to do so, employers are steeping up to the plate at an impressive rate to support employee education. They are also recognizing the value and the quality of distance education, which allows their employees to get a great education while continuing to work full time.
Ask your human resources department about your organization's tuition reimbursement policy. Many companies will help to support your education if the program or degree is related to your job duties, or would make you viable in a more responsible position in your company. Some employers also reimburse depending on your grades. Anything lower then a C is usually not reimbursed.
Tuition reimbursement programs are, as the name suggest, set up on a reimbursement basis. You are required to pay for you own education, and if you get a certain grade in a class, your employer reimburses you. Many employers will also cover books, lab fees, and materials.
