You do not need to pay anyone to find scholarships for you. Everyone has access to same databases for scholarship searches. Scams make promises that are just to good to be true. The use slogans like scholarship guaranteed, or we'll do all the work. Sometimes these companies request the student's checking account number to confirm eligibility and then debit the account without consent. If you are a victim of these scams, report it immediately to the federal trade commission - 877-FTC-HELP.
Scholarship money is not easy to come by, so you do have to do a lot of work to get it. Do yourself a favor and start looking early, and make a game plan instead of hiring a service to do it for you.
