How Difficult is Getting an Online Degree?
Although, distance learning is more flexible, you might have to spend more time than you would in a traditional class to participate fully. In a normal classroom, you may be able to sleep through class, cram for the exam, and still get a decent grade. Here you have to participate, or at the very least log in. You still need to take exams. Since most distance learners are majoring in fields that they are currently in, they already have a significant background. You can probably get away with skipping the sections of the class that you are already familiar with.
If you fall behind with your class work, you will have to catch up immediately, since you must participate in online discussions. In a physical classroom, the instructor rarely will request that you speak.
