How Long Will It Take For You To Earn Your Degree Online?
You will be told how many credits you need to graduate. For an undergraduate degree, this is usually 120 credits, 60 for an associates degree. Master programs vary in length. Be aware that you need to spend about 12-16 hours preparing for a 3 credit course per week. If you have a full time job, taking one or two classes is probably all you can handle. Even so 1-2 classes this will take you about 3 hours of course work a day.

Semesters are usually set up the same way as regular campus colleges. However, some online colleges offer classes back to back in five week intervals. Please check with your individual program. Though some colleges promise graduation within a few short months, this probably won't happen for you if you continue to work full time. If you decided to go to school online full time, you will finish your degree very quickly, especially if you decide to add summer courses to your program.
Going part time will extend the time it takes to get a degree. Since there is no deadline to graduate, don't feel pressure to finish as quickly as full time students. Stick to a goal and work towards it.
